The maternity team at Florida Hospital’s Baby Place strives to make your experience as comfortable, positive and rewarding as possible. Our mission is to care for you as we would a member of our own family. We offer a variety of maternity services to help guide and support you through this important transition into parenthood.

The Florida Hospital in your neighborhood offers a full complement of obstetric and pediatric services. We’ve provided information below on what you can expect when you visit one of our facilities located at Florida Hospital Altamonte, Florida Hospital Celebration Health, Florida Hospital Orlando and Winter Park Memorial Hospital.

Facilities
  • Private Labor, Delivery and Recovery (LDRs) rooms, equipped with jacuzzis or showers
  • Private mother – baby rooms where babies and dad can room in; all rooms are equipped with a sofa and TV/VCRs
  • High-risk beds for mothers experiencing pre-term labor
  • Level III Neonatal Intensive Care beds – Florida Hospital Orlando is one of the only such facilities in the state of Florida to offer private rooms
  • Level II Special Care Nursery beds 
  • Newborn Nursery beds
  • Dedicated Operating Room (OR) suites Recovery/Post Anesthesia Care Unit bed
Staff

Florida Hospital’s Baby Place Labor and Delivery nurses and staff have an average of over 15 years experience. That means that you and your baby will receive the best care available.  Our maternity patients have consistently given us high marks for the care they received, well above the national average for overall patient satisfaction.
  • OB physicians, anesthesiologists and neonatal nurse practitioners provide 24-hour in-house coverage
  • Lactation consultants provide extensive coverage for the units (available 16 hours a day)

Lactation Center
