Women are affected most by gynecologic and breast cancers. At the Florida Hospital Cancer Institute, we provide expert care and the gentle touch that women need to overcome the battle with cancer.

Gynecologic Oncology Center

The Gynecologic Oncology Center at the Florida Hospital Cancer Institute is the most experienced gynecologic oncology team in Florida. Each year, our specialists treat more than 600 women, providing advanced technology and expertise for the diagnosis and treatment of cancers of the female reproductive system.

Our physicians offer highly specialized care for patients with precancers and cancers of the:

  • Ovary
  • Fallopian tubes
  • Uterus
  • Vagina
  • Cervix
  • Vulva

Our patients have the opportunity to participate in national clinical trials through the Gynecologic Oncology Group (GOG) that offer unique treatments for gynecologic malignancies. Additionally, our research affiliations with Duke and UCLA provide patients further access to the most modern therapies and treatment protocols available.

Breast Care Program

Now it’s easy for anyone who has an abnormal mammogram or is diagnosed with breast cancer to make informed choices about quality treatment. From managing files and films, to putting you in touch with the latest clinical trials and physician experts, our Breast Care Coordinators at the Florida Hospital Cancer Institute are available free of charge to help you through the breast cancer treatment process.

Our Breast Care Coordinators provide services tailored to your individual needs, including:
  • Comprehensive nursing assessment and support
  • Rapid scheduling of appointments, consultations and procedures
  • Assistance with coordination of providers and procedures
  • Symptom management
  • Ongoing education and disease information
Our Breast Care Coordinators will help you navigate a full spectrum of services from accessing the latest medical research to psychological and nutritional counseling. Whether it’s scheduling appointments, assisting with insurance issues, or just a heart-to-heart talk about day-to-day issues affecting your treatment, our Breast Care Coordinators are your advocates for quality care.
