Precision. Performance. Perfection.

Treating the Health Issues of Today’s Active Women
Whether you’re an active mom keeping busy with a career and family or a woman who is a weekend warrior in the sporting world, repetitive activities can cause disorders in your complex musculoskeletal system. With 281 muscles, 206 bones and 400 joints, a lot can go wrong. Florida Hospital is one of the top 10 orthopedic hospitals in the nation, performing more than 90,000 surgeries in the last 35 years alone in our state-of the-art care centers.

Battling the Debilitating Disease of Osteoporosis
Affecting more than 25 million Americans, osteoporosis leads to 1.2 million bone fractures in the U.S. One in every two women over 50 will have an osteoporosis related fracture in their lifetime and one-third of all women over 65 will experience a fracture of their spine. Florida Hospital provides women with education, diagnosis and treatment of osteoporosis-related diseases and procedures, including rehabilitation following surgery for a fracture.

Keeping Female Athletes In Top Form
As any female athlete or weekend warrior will tell you, women can suffer from specific conditions their male counterparts don’t. In fact, females are two to eight times more likely to tear their anterior cruciate ligament (one of the four ligaments in your knee) during high-risk sports such as soccer, gymnastics or volleyball. Orthopedic physicians work closely with our internal staff of nurses and specialty orthopedic surgical teams to provide female patients of all ages with the highest quality care in the region.
