Early Detection Through Screening
At Florida Hospital we recognize a woman’s unique imaging needs. We’re the first and only facility in Central Florida to offer the most advanced non-invasive technology to screen and detect breast cancer. Positron Emission Mammography (PEM) is the latest technology in use today, allowing doctors to see breast tissue in great detail while detecting abnormalities as small as a grain of rice. The ability to detect abnormalities sooner significantly increases the chance that surgeons can remove cancerous tissue while leaving healthy tissue alone.

4D Imaging of Your Baby
Do you remember when you were pregnant and first saw your baby on the ultrasound screen? Our 4-D Ultrasound is the latest in diagnostics, allowing you to see a high definition series of still images that look like a video of your unborn child. Not only is the detail of the image astounding, but it gives your doctor better data about your baby’s development, so you feel more secure about the good health of your new addition.

Identifying Risk Before They Become Problems
The earlier you can identify potential health problems, the better. Florida Hospital uses the latest in imaging technologies to diagnose the potential risks of disease. This includes using a DEXA Scan to measure the density of your bones and predict the potential for fractures, HeartPrints, which is a baseline EKG that becomes part of your health record here, and thyroid imaging to help determine if your thyroid is overactive or underactive. Every member of our imaging staff is accredited by the American College of Radiology.
