Founded in 1980 by an Indianapolis pediatrician, Safe Sitter is a medically accurate program that teaches boys and girls, ages 11-13, how to handle emergencies when caring for young children.
Safe Sitters Learn:
All Safe Sitter classes are taught by specially trained instructors who are interested in teaching teenagers to be medically responsible, creative and attentive babysitters.
Safe Sitter is a nationally organized program offered at hospitals, schools, service organizations and other community-minded groups across the country.

The Safe Sitter class is a two-day course. The $50 fee includes all materials. Classes are for 11-13 year old boys and girls. Lunch is not included. Please bring a bag lunch and drink both days. Make checks payable to Florida Hospital. Send your check with your child's name and preferred class to:
