
Dr. McCarus is a well-respected, board-certified gynecologist, surgeon and educator. He has traveled the world teaching endoscopic procedures to other doctors, performing operations in more than 400 hospitals worldwide. His expertise has also led to many published works on the subject of laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgery.
Dr. McCarus is a pioneer in minimally invasive hysterectomies, creating the McCarus Technique that uses ultrasonic harmonic energy to perform hysterectomies via a tiny hole in the belly. The technique allows patients to go home after only a day in the hospital, followed by a recovery period of only two weeks.
